Energy supplier SSE was fined £10.5m by the regulator Ofgem for mis-selling gas and electricity in April 2014.

Npower to write off energy bills

As reported by Uswitch, Director of Communication for Npower Guy Esnouf told Radio 5live listeners: “Anybody who left us before December, so six months ago, and hasn’t received a bill from us, then we are going to write that off.”

Npower tops customer complaints again

"Npower in chaos." Top of the compliants league again. Been there since the end of 2012.

E.On to pay £12m for mis-selling

E.On to pay £12m for mis-selling.

It will do this by paying c£35 to the 333k customers receiving the Warm Homes Discount. So, vulnerable customers. It will need to contact customers who may have lost out and pay them too.

British Gas Business pays £5.6m in penalties

BGB computer system issues preventing non-domestic customers from switching. Also failure to tell customers their tariffs were expiring.

£1.3m already paid to those affected.
£3.45m to an energy efficiency fund.
£0.8m penalty.
